The Diction HouseWorkshops in schools

What changes

From hesitation to participation.

From knowing to applying. From speaking to communicating with clarity and purpose.

Through structured activity, real scenarios, guided reflection and practical feedback, participants build the confidence to express themselves, the awareness to recognise their own communication patterns, and the ability to adapt to different people, purposes and situations.

What we set out to change

Six things a participant should leave with.

  • 01

    Greater confidence

Speaking, participating and responding with more assurance, particularly in unfamiliar or high-pressure situations.

  • 02

    Clearer communication

Articulation, vocabulary, structure, tone, pace and audience awareness, so ideas land with more precision.

  • 03

    Stronger expression

Moving beyond finding the words to expressing ideas, emotions and perspectives with clarity and authenticity.

  • 04

    Better listening

Active listening, questioning, turn-taking, clarification and respectful disagreement as parts of communicating, not extras.

  • 05

    Greater self-awareness

Recognising the barriers themselves — hesitation, fear of judgement, overthinking, vocabulary gaps, difficulty organising thought.

  • 06

    Skills that transfer

Learning that carries past the session into classrooms, interviews, presentations, discussions and everyday life.

After we leave

The session ends. The habit is the point.

What is learned in the room is meant to carry into classrooms, interviews, presentations, group discussions, professional interactions and ordinary conversation. That transfer is the whole measure of whether it worked.
